Well I got some good news today for me anyhow. Earlier this morning my coworker, Debbie, asked me if I wanted to learn how to do part of her job. Of course I said yes because even with the new position I’m in now…I’m still bored and have way too much time on my hands. Well, I started training with her but she got called away so I went back to my cube. Right before lunch my boss called me in her office and told me that she was leaving the company in two weeks. She said that Debbie was taking on some of her duties and that’s why Debbie was training me on her stuff. I told her I was sorry she was leaving and all that. ANYHOW…after lunch when I was training with Debbie again I was telling her I couldn’t believe Patti was leaving and it must be nice to be able to quit work to stay home (especially when she brought home $80K a year), well that’s when Debbie told me that they’re eliminating her position, so basically she didn’t have a choice. Well, while we were talking she said that Rhodes (high up management) had put in a requisition to hire me permanent!!! She said “Would you take the job?” and I said “OF COURSE”!! SO….hopefully I’ll be hired on permanently soon. Then again…you never know…they do have a hiring freeze on right now. Apparently Rhodes isn’t very comfortable with me being a temp because there’s the risk that if I’m offered a permanent position elsewhere I’d probably take it and they are investing alot of time training me and right now I am the only one in the company who knows how to do the job I just took over…until we start cross-training anyhow. But say for instance…tomorrow, I’m offered a full time permanent position with another company and I take it…that leaves them in a bind. Not that I’d leave without notice, but they don’t know that! 
Anyhow, I know they want to hire me permanent so that was really good news for a Friday!
As for my doctor appointments and everything, I’m scheduled for the CT Scan on Monday and I go to the OB Specialist on April 24th. Pray I get good news there too!
